Kennedy 50 Mile Walk

Since February of 2013, FreeWalkers, a long-distance walking group, has presented an annual 50-mile walking event to honor the grit of Attorney General, Robert F. Kennedy and the vision of his brother President John F. Kennedy. While the walk takes place on the towpath of the C & O Canal National Park, its reputation has grown as a challenging physical and mental feat held in the middle of the winter just outside of Washington DC.
